My clinical practice is focused towards sports, deep tissue & remedial massage techniques, Trigger Point therapy (TrP), pain management, dry needling, cupping & deep tissue pregnancy massage.

If you are looking for a relaxation massage, I may not be the right therapist for you.

I incorporate different modalities into each treatment session - they are bespoke, so no two treatments are the same. Over the years I have dealt with many of my own injuries; including a two-level lumbar disc prolapse (and subsequent spinal fusion surgery in 2012), so I understand acute and chronic pain from a personal perspective - and just how much these injuries can impact most areas in peoples lives.

I enjoy giving deep tissue, therapeutic and sports massage - with a strong emphasis on the treatment, relaxation and recovery benefits that this can bring.

Client education is also a large aspect of my treatments; it's no secret that I enjoy teaching people about their bodies, and what structures are being affected - which often leads to a greater awareness of the need for self-care.

Professional development is important to me, and I regularly partake in courses to keep my hands on skills and knowledge-base at a top level; and to round it all off, I practice what I preach and receive regular massages to keep my own body in check.

I also teach dry needling and pain management courses, helping other massage professionals learn needling and how to integrate pain management techniques into their clinical practice.

Many prominent sports teams and gyms have put the recovery of their athletes in my hands, including the All Blacks, Wellington Hurricanes, Hurricanes Poua, Wellington Lions, All Blacks Sevens team, NZ Blackcaps, RNZ Ballet, Toa Crossfit (Wellington), Sydney Swans FC AFL team, Vodafone Warriors, USA 7s team, Wellington Firebirds, Wellington Phoenix, Melbourne Heart FC, Brisbane Roar FC, Wellington Colts under 21 Rugby premsWellington’s Muay Thai Institute (kickboxing), and various other elite athletes from many different sporting codes - providing rehabilitation massage, during their training and post-event to aid injury reduction and recovery.

I have a Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage as well as Clinical Massage Therapy.
From my studies I developed an interest in sports, relaxation and palliative Massage.
My massage style includes relaxation and therapeutic techniques.

I see stress as a major influence on our physical and psychological state, therefore I believe relaxation massage is a beneficial intervention to reducing stress and providing a sense of resilience. Working in a therapeutic capacity means I can support clients though soft tissue dysfunctions and injuries. Supporting the body to return to an optimal state. I encourage functional movement and identify possible barriers to work through within my sessions. I aim to be fully present with each and every client and provide a different felt experience from pre to post massage.

My experience includes working with The Central Pulse Netball Team, New Zealand School of Dance, Mary Potter Hospice and the staff at Wellington Hospital.

I look forward to working with a wide client base, giving me the opportunity to expand my knowledge while educating clients.
